Theatre On Your Own
Being Creative To Impact Behavior
Welcome to the Official Website of Theatre On Your Own (ToYo). This website is dedicated to keeping our audience and supporters up-to-date with our shows, productions, and various activities that we undertake to showcase art in many ways.
Through our work, we aim to touch people with the possibility of art and how it can transform the lives of people on both sides of the stage. We are just a drop in the ocean. But we are an ocean in a single drop.
ToYo in association with Kathakali exponent Prabal Gupta brings to you a Confluence of Kathakali and Theatre …. KSHATRAA BAALAA- a tribute to the great martyrs of our nation- a project commissioned by southzoneculturalcentre for the 6th Navvarsh Mahotsav 2022 presented by NGMA ,iccrbengaluru and Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust.
Date - March 20 2022 Time - 5.30 p.m , Entry fee- Free
Our project “AADHE ADHURE”, written by Mohan Rakesh, also marked 5 years since its inception. Some dramatized reading, live music, shadow play, unique static forms, and a wholesome experience being irony to the play's name.
We are honored that our project was premiered and was streaming on the prestigious Jairangam festival's page for a week and also got featured in Jaipur News! We wholeheartedly extend our thanks to both Jairangam and Rashtradoot for sharing and appreciating our work with their wider community.
Our depth of knowledge and experience comes from how much we read, experience, and communicate. Our MD, Faria Fatma, participated in the programme, making contributions in storytelling and poetry. Dramatized readings of stories and poetries of Amrita Pritam,a session on narrative poems touching the subjects of women and labour issues to Gulzar Sahab’s "Kharashein", a Hindustani play were conducted. This not only helped us build on our skillsets but also echoed ToYo’s voice in the larger art community in the city.

Season Of Fortitude 2020-21
The most wonderful things have emerged from tough times. We have understood that we can’t be taken over by the wave that COVID-19 has brought on us…we got to ride it. On this note, we have challenged ourselves to create, sustain, and push through these uncertain times even after being hit by it in many ways but one. We are sure that something wonderful will come out of us during this time, and we can’t wait for you to see it.
